I only want to run openJean, not develop it. Do I need Java?

OpenJean requires a pre-installed Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Most Microsoft Windows based computers do not have Java already installed, or have an old unsuitable version. In order for openJean to function correctly you should download and install the most recent version, which may be obtained from Sun Developer Network.
