Using HTML

Notes

JEANnotes is a simple application for writing and organizing short textual notes. It does however have some other features that make it even more useful. Any JEAN node whether category, group or item can have a note attached. This creates a new note in JEANnotes in a category which is the name of the catalog in which the note is attached, followed by subcategories and groups as necessary to give the same path as the original node. For example if you attach a note to an image, which is at /MyPictures/Camera/Christmas 2004 then the note will be in JEANnotes at /images/MyPictures/Camera/Christmas 2004. A new page is also created for the original node containing a reference to this note so that the note appears as part of the attribute display for the original node.

It is possible to use HTML (HyperText Markup Language) within a note to give the same sort of effects as are found in a web page. It is alos possible to transform parts of the catalog into a web page for easy viewing, or to transfer onto a website.
